Our Take on Winemaking
We are a boutique producer, releasing fewer than 1,000 cases in any given year.
Collectors recognize Rutherford as the prime source for some of California’s great wines. Some of the Napa Valley’s most prestigious wineries source fruit from Chaix Family Vineyards, and our neighbors are Rutherford’s most celebrated names.
Our approach is straightforward: We farm our vineyard organically, block by block, to grow pristine, flavorful fruit.
We then select our finest fruit and make the best wine we can, using a deft and restrained hand in the cellar.

Each bottle is an unabashed expression of the vineyard our great-grandfather A.P. Chaix first planted in 1909.
That is to say: It’s pretty damn good.

Cabernet Sauvignon
A full-bodied expression of premium Cabernet Sauvignon grown from heritage clones deeply rooted in Napa Valley’s iconic Rutherford appellation. Our fruit is sourced 100% from Chaix Family Vineyards located in this extraordinary terroir. We make wine to be accessible—it’s your choice whether to age it or to open it today. You’ll find soft, suede-like tannins and well-integrated oak in wine with enough structure to age well over 10 or more years.
2025 Sauvignon Blanc
Our first organic wine made from our experimental vineyard. In 2024 we replanted a block of Cabernet and alternated the plantings with plantings of Sauvignon Blanc. It’s a double-trellised system with red grapes shading white grapes. (Come visit for a tour).
We harvested the first fruit from this new block in the fall of 2025, bottled it in the late winter, and are excited to release it in spring 2026. It’s tart and dry like a good Sancerre, but with a Rutherford dust twist. Stay tuned for release details.
